I found these removable, translucent decals from Dollar Tree (for $1.00) and had planned on using them on the wood over the sink... but they were too sheer. I popped one on the range hood, just playing around, and it really turned out cute! It would have been even cuter if the wood grain didn't come off onto the sticker, but you can hardly tell!
After: (PS See what a difference NEW HARDWARE makes on those cabinets?!)
Before: (never mind the walls they were a work in progress, as you can see [in the AFTER picture] the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders)!

I love the butterflies! I need something like that on my range hood. It's just a plain white. Could use some umphhh to it. :-) Thank you for stopping by junkblossoms. The toile is a black and white on the sewing chair. That was a tough project from start to finish. I'm so glad it's done. Blessing, Pat.
ReplyDeleteHI, Kati, thanks so much for your very sweet comments, I'm so glad you are enjoying the projects. I've got a few more dreamed up for this year, you can be sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! It is kinda fun when you are limited that way (renting), because you have to be that much more creative.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comments about the follower thing - and you are right - there are a few blogs I thought I was following and now I can't find them for the life of me. Ah, the internet.
Thanks again!
Danielle
Cute butterflies Kati! Yes the black and cream pattered plates are from K-mart, and the white vintage ones I've had for years! It'll be nice to use them for once! Hope to have this project finished on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThe new hardware looks great and the butterflies are a nice touch! Keep it up!
